Our Toddlers, Preschool, & Pre-K Early Learning Program is designed for children ages 1 through 5 years old. At The Bug Lady’s Science Academy, your child will learn the framework for observation, problem-solving, and critical thinking, through our STEM-based curriculum. We teach with a science-enriched philosophy, where your child is encouraged to explore through hands-on experiences. Your child will have plenty of opportunities to explore, discover, and expand their knowledge of the world around them.
We also have many opportunities for observations and interactions with our 300+ animals and insects. Our Animal Sciences in Early Learning Program is unique to us. This program was developed for our specific species of animals and insects that we have on-site. This program allows for hands-on experiences, up-close viewings, help with care, and observations of our animals and insects.
Throughout our day we also maintain a huge focus on the development of your child’s social-emotional and interpersonal skills. This is a key time to develop and help children acquire the skills to manage their emotions, feel and show empathy to others, and make responsible decisions. Understanding their feelings, emotions, and working on social-emotional growth is an important component in early learning development. Our goal is to enrich your child's life and creative experiences along with our accredited curriculum.

Amazing place! Both my daughters attended The Bug Lady's Science Academy for pre-school and they still talk about it years later -- they absolutely loved their time there and often ask, when can they go back. The Bug Lady and her staff are amazing, the building is truly magical and unique, and the curriculum is fun, engaging, and educational.

We absolutely loved our experience at The Bug Lady! My son came home daily sharing new facts about animals and science, his teachers were in constant communication with us, and he made the best friends. Now that he's in kindergarten at a public school, he is above his class in both reading and math--no doubt due to the education he received at BLSA!

My daughter attended The Bug Lady Science Academy from the age of 3 until she aged out. We would have stayed forever if that would have been an option. She learned so much there, and looked forward to going every single day. The staff is all very caring and always keep you update on what has happened throughout the week. I highly recommend them!
